Hello Beekeep- I got a question for you on a Savage rifle. I was looking at a Savage 110G in 3006 left hand. It looked like it was in excellent condition. Had a woodstock-fellow wanted $325 for it. This a good price?
Also, what would it cost to buy one(or its equivalent) new?
Thanks.

The cheap wood is what would spoil it for me,Salzo.

    I had a 111 lefty in 30-06,some very fine walnut,high gloss bluing,
tetatchable mag, this was the a lovely rifle.Had my choice, between that one and an older 110 also in walnut..at a show I was doing.

I bought it for my son,23YOA a couple years ago, then found out he`d been missing before I even bought it,havent heard from him ..sold the gun, somtimes feel sick about it,it was the 110(111)like I haven`t seen since.(I miss my boy as well)

Anyway,I think I`d look into some Savage Brosures(?)and find something nice for around $400.00 New.

But if you want the lefty now,it`s a fair price for a lefty hunting rifle.

Thanks Bee-but dont knock yourself finding the info-I just needed an approximate price.
So the 111 is of a higher grade than the 110?

The 325 price is what is listed in the Blue book at 100%.. the G and GL(left handed model) both list at 325 for 100%... 90% is 265 to 110 at 60%..

    Thanks Black Roses.
Bee-Now this is why I shy away from Savage-too many variables. They have all these different models, I dont know how to keep up with whats what. Gs,Ls,Qs,110,111,116...how the heck are you supposed to keep up with all these models?

Salzo, they are all 110s as far as I`m concerned,
and I have no reason to keep track of them.I
don`t even own a 110 at this point..but I do own about 29 other savage models.

I will get another one before it`s over with..I just wish
    they`d build a really nice one in .250 Savage,and 300 Savage.

I hear they put a better trigger in them now,but I don`t know if
the`re doing that for all of them...good question for our
gunsmiths, and ffl guys here on the forum.
