AP report 10/03/01, Bridgeport, PA:"It took a round of gator wrestling for a 10-year-old boy to prove that an alligator had found a home in a neighborhood creek.Sam Tharp told his family that he saw an alligator in a creek in Mount Pleasant Township. But they didn't believe him.'They kept teasing me, telling me they thought I was drinking creek water,' Sam said. 'I had to make them eat their words.'Sam and his 12-year-old friend Tony Gardner set out to find the alligator they thought they saw sunning itself on a rock a week earlier. On Sunday, Sam got close enough to grab the 24-inch--long alligator as it was trying to free itself from weeds on the creek bank. After a brief struggle, Sam got control of the reptile and brought it home."

    Every boy sould have a chance to play with gadesses!!!I`m proud of that little yankee feller!!!Someone took that little gator up there,wonder if there is a zoo or somethin` near where it was found,it may have escaped.Whatever the case,it would not have survived the winter ahead.
