Hi there Jeremy, welcome to the board. Lots of good people here. What kind of hunting do you do? I myself am preparing for some good ol Northern Michigan whitetail in about a month. Until then I'm punching holes in paper targets. So, where are the gun pics on your website?

Hey jjoel,As long as you are not a unibomber type nutcase like arkresearch, you'll find great conversation about just about any topic you care to discuss. Just watch the language or you'll find our fearless leader swooping in on his white horse waving the magic delete pen. Welcome.

Welcome jjoel. Lots of nice folks here, but be sure to have nomex skivvies for the time when you get flamed! And don't buy Supermonkey's Jennings .25. He can't even give it away.
So many guns to buy. So little money.

JJoel - I know it smacks of censorship, but you're going to have to stop writing the word "anywayz" however. Only 16 year olds say "anywayz", "laterz" and "sup?".

will270win - a smoking jacket is what you get when firing a muzzle loading, black powder, rifle musket and you put too much black powder in the pan and then fire it and sparks fly back and set your coat on fire...No seriously it's one of those ugly, usually velvet with black silk collar jackets that rich guys wear at night while sipping brandy and smoking a pipe. It's a glorified robe but it's shorter and "gentlemen" use to come home, take off their suit jacket and put on their smoking jacket, for sitting around smoking. I guess they didn't want to wrinkle their good suit coat or take a chance on dropping ashes on their good street clothes.I wonder if there's any rich guys out there that still do this. Donald Trump looks like he'd be a good candidate for such nonsense.

I thought old Hugh wore an actual robe, so he could "get it on" at anytime.

Or I guess I should say "get it off..." at anytime.

When I was about 17 or so, my brother sent me a blue silk smoking jacket from Hong Kong. Had gold and red Oriental designs embroidered all over it. I looked pretty damn suave for a 17 year old kid in 1965. Wonder what ever happened to that thing? No use lookin' for it, I guess. In '65 I weighed around 120 pounds. Just about double that today. It'd probably fit a little tight.

Hi, jjoel, I'm kinda new to *this* BBS myself, altho I've been on GB for a few years & contributed to some of the other boards. Only one gent here really knows me and he hasn't stuck an oar in yet, so I'll not sully his name by revealing his association with me. Some of youse guys & gals better save this post, 'cause I won't say it again . . . but it's a good crew here.

Hey JJoel - welcome - as with any crowd there is always the Good, Bad, and Ugly. We have all been each at one time or another. What kinda guitar you like best? I only have an Applause (Ovation) and do not play well, but I try.

jjoel:Only been here a week or so myself but, looking around the various boards I'd say it will be next impossible to come up with a question about firearms that these people can't answer. Best site, by far, I've ever visited. Also, good to know there are people who hold your same values and opinions on a number of heartbeat topics.
