locked or erased threads

Have you guys noticed that there seem to be a lot of threads being locked and or erased lately? Mr. Nunn has never locked one of my threads and he's the moderator.Maybe Admin has a love list of people who are allowed to post dozens of posts a day, and if you're not on it, too bad! I've had 2 locked and 1 erased in 3 days, yet later on that same day I see there are posts talking about the same subject. what gives? this happen to anyone else? -Ralph

    Ralph,A great deal of boards are plaged by 'Miscreants' and trouble makers who are just looking for a place to offend people and soil good conversations. This board isn't like that because Admin stays relatively strict. If you hang around for a while, Admin is likely to allow you a bit more breathing room.     super, have been on this board for at least 2 years I believe. just never posted until lately. always had fun just reading the posts of everyone else. recently changed ISP and had to re-log in this past april. I see others posting with no problems who haven't been here that long. Not after special treatment, just fair. after reading the BB for this long I feel like I kinda know some of you folks, and I enjoy inviting y'all into my home everynight to talk, just would like to be able to speak up once in a while. -RalphI am not looking to soil good conversation, nor looking to cause trouble, just wanna talk like everyone else can.[This message has been edited by REBJr (edited 10-09-2001).]

    I notice that Admin locks threads when the subject is inappropriate for the board. Usually when the question could be answered in the help files.I usually erase threads when they get too racy or mean. Usually it is no reflection on the originator, but on some of the later comments.Of course, the originator of any thread can take it out by deleting the first post.

    Mr Nunn,thank you for your reply. I have spent an hour reading every letter of the help files again, and also noticed that GB doesn't provide tech support. I am still in the dark about my origional question "selling to users with bad ratings", which is why I asked the sellers on this board for help. I'm sorry that Admin thought this topic too racy to allow other registered users to respond to. it would have helped me and maybe others a lot. As it is, I'm about to just give up on the whole idea, I guess I'm just holding on for the sake of pride. Anyway, as you are the moderator around here, I appreciate your response. -Ralph

    Simple. Any criticism of this site, on this site, gets removed. The poster gets referred to nonexistant help files that do not address the situation.Been going on for a long, long time.

    I've heard that bringing an apple for a teacher each day will get you a better grade.....maybe if you send Mr. Nunn and Admin a Christmas card or a few boxes of complimentary ammo it would help....

    Re: Admin and tech support. I can't say what they will do today, because the site is MUCH bigger now, but they have offered me tech support via email and telephone in the past.

    shane,I`m not much worried about it if it was sapped cause of guns and poetry don`t mix.I would like to know if anyone was offended by anything I wrote.At one point, competentone made a comment about closing it,but I took it as a joke.Then I translated LeeBlackmans name to espaniol,in one poem,I thought nothing of it.I may have missed some late posts on the thread,I may never know what was said.If anyone is ever insulted by me,there is a 99% chance it is by accident!You know that,shane.

    218, Yes I know you would never insult anyone on purpose. Thats why I didn't like it when they took your topic off. I had read it not long before it got gone and did not see anything bad! Besides I had another poem that I worked on for 30 minutes to post. Now the world may never see it!
