Saturday nite, the 8th, when Cindy came in from work about 10:30 it was nasty and raining. Trucker, the little dog, ran in front of her and Cindy didn't see her. She ran over her back half. Our vet worked with her but there was too much damage to her internal organs.Damn shame, she was really a sweet and happy little dog. You might remember her from the boat ride.

Pelican, I am very sorry for your loss. I know how attached we can become to our animal friends. She was a neat little dog.My wife (ex-wife now) did the same thing with a cat that I had for nearly 15 years. Fortunately, he was dead instantly and did not suffer. I wrapped him in a favorite wool hunting coat and buried him in the yard.I bet Cindy felt just awful, poor girl. Please tell her she has my sympathy.

When I was 10 we found a beagle puppy in the woods ,skin and bones, full of ticks, and 3/4 dead.It heard my dads M-12 I guess, and gave the best little howls he could muster up.We took him home, fed him a little deer bone broth, cleaned and nursed him back to health, and named him Lucky.Well my best friend had a black & tan with a bad habit of chasin` cars, taught Lucky to do the same. One day after school I heard brakes and a thud, went out to see what it was ,all I can remember is being on my knees in the road and holdin` lucky and ballin` my eyes out.I`m about ta cry right now just remembering it as if it were yesterday. That little dog was stunted and scared, but no dog has ever lived up to the little feller.
Will the last reb to leave flarda, please bring the flag?[This message has been edited by 218Beekeep (edited 09-19-2001).]
