It is a crisp cool morning on the 14,000 acre Rembrandt estate, all things are beautiful there, except Sir Rembrandt is quite solemn as he walks in from his morning stroll."What is it dear"asks MRS.Rembrandt,"you`ve been moping around here for days" "Well..it`s lord Beekeeper".replies His Lordship."Isn`t he the attractive one, with the different smoking jacket for every occasion, each one with~SLB~emblazonmentricated across the left lapel?"asks Mrs Rembrandt."Is Lord Beekeeper not well, dear?""Yes he is in wonderful condition..it`s just that Lord Beekeeper seems to have forgotten the anniversary of The Smoking Jackets Club,it is two days from tommorow, and surely he would have contacted me by now ,had he remembered,my dear"!!"Well dear,Replies Mrs Rembrandt,Lord Beekeeper requested that I wait till this evening, but here are your first class airline tickets, provided by His Lordship,Lord Beekeeper.""You are to meet with the rest of the Iowa Chapter of the Smoking Jackets,at noon tommarow, for a light lunch then board for your flight to the beekeeper estate for the grand celebration.A tear of happiness, runs down the cheek of His Lordship..."He did not forget, did he my dear!"says Sir Rembrandt to his lovely bride."No darling,he did not"replies Mrs Rembrandt, with a tear in her voice..A tear of joy that she has married such a sensetive man.~SLB[This message has been edited by 218Beekeep (edited 01-14-2002).]

....sniff...sniff....I'm truly touched....Now, where can I pick up those airline tickets? Are they E-tickets? I'm ready for some "Gator Wrestling" or perhaps a "Smoking Jacket Shootzenfest"....

as a late-comer to the select, allow me a token of respect by sending ahead a case of brandy cushioned by thousands of .218 rounds...my buyer also found a rather unusual blunderbuss that doubles as a gin decanter. martini anyone?

Darn. Long ago and far away, Men who knew all about firearms ruled the day.We logged on fast to get answers from real gunsmiths, and guys who knew our hobby.Their useful and pratical knowledge was run out of town, long ago.Today, we have a repeating lupe of suck-ups and *, pretenting to have anything to say but smart-alec, swishy, swill. And I know. I used to be the 5-Star General of smart-*, swishy, swill. Butch up on the humor, kids. Try harder.Try to grow up and fit into my size 18 clown shoes.Ha.

He doth protest too much. With regards to the SJC Hummer. Is a woodland camo pattern suitable to everyone here? Close contacts have access to such magnificent modes of transport and they only get checked on one weekend a month and two weeks in the summer.

I say, lads! Wasn't there some mention of a swamp buggy powered by a surplus Pratt-and-Whitney engine? That strikes me as a capitol mode of transit!
I may disagree with what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.--Voltaire~Secret Select Society Of Suave Stylish Smoking Jackets~

homer, my good man! ease up on the "star wars" quotes and the poetry...and i'll promise not to break into show tunes. i do reserve the right to "swill", however, though i don't really know what it means..."ooooookla-homa!- where the wind comes sweeping down the plains.." (sorry, i couldn't resist...)

Beekeep, in the movie "My Fair Lady", Rex Harrison (Professor Higgins) and Col. Pickering are sitting around in the library...that set kind of reminds me of what I think your mansion should look like.

219 -- I saw the broadway production of CATS back in 1994. It was quite entertaining. I had to stop and remind myself that they were human beings.....moving targets....moving targets....oops...did I think that?

I know what you mean about that hateful "brother" thing Beeman. I think he will come around and be nice someday. I've given him a few chances to take a cheap shot at me lately just to see if he would, but he hasn't!!! Maby he is warming up to us. What do you think?????
