Nothing so bad this year....yet! Last year we had one that was $500.00 something! I almost fell over when I opened it....think they are afraid to send me something like that again!

Rem.,I have the central air on right now...my cooling bill will be a lot higher than my heating bill. We`ve had the heat on for a total of ..maybe 8 hours so far this winter. We are able to have the windows open some days, but then we usually have to close them up,and turn on the air..218

I have never paid a heating bill. My first apartment included all utilities with the rent. Then there was barracks life and now the government leases my apartment which also includes all utitily bills. I've never felt the sting of a winter heating bill but I do know that my parents always lived frugally as a result of farm life and raised me in such a manner that I prefer the thermostat to be set in the mid to low 60's.

Guess I've got it pretty good. Have a heat pump and the electric bill I got yesterday was $208.00 after a cold December, so I estimate the heating portion of the bill at less than $100.00.

If you want heat, open the door.(least that's how we do it in sunny southern FLARDA)

Yes, that's about it, less than a hundred for the winter, but with cold weather still lurking around, could go as high as,oh, two hundred before the end of the year. That would be for the entire season, not per month. Like was previously mentioned, usually have the A/C on most of the year. Air to Air heat pumps are great, but they wouldn't do you any good where it gets really cold. Actually thought about installing a wood burning stove, just to have something to "watch" but can't justify the money.

We've got propane and had our first fill-up since March 2001, last week. About $215. Winter is so mild this year that we'll probably get away with $400 for the season. You guys from Florida.......BAG IT! At least we don't have bugs that are the size of biscuits.Mudge the defensive

We have different types of skeeders..we have one inland variety that`s the size of a nickel..when they bite you on the forhead,it hurts...it`s like it goes clear to the skull. I slapped one of them bigg`ons on my arm once, and whatched to see what he`d do..he just hobbled around there for a minute or so,stood back up,parted the hair on my arm, and bit me again. Finally I just brushed him off..figured the scrappin` little devel deserved ta live .218
