One of the most memorable moments for me was when I was given,as a gift, a fine smoking jacket by my dear friend Lord Rembrandt,..of the Iowa Rembrandts.This made me the first at GB to publicly wear a smoking jacket,and it was the very origin of the Smoking Jacket Club..218

Well, you said the ole' GB. So that's where I'm headed. The compassion and caring shown at the death of JohnnYuma. The same during TyRvr's illness. The same during the illness and subsequent moving on to a better place with Pelican's son. The humor, and departure of Festus from the board. The big fight over spelling and grammar. Kinda puts things into perspective.......

I have met two outstanding gentlemen from GB (Rembrandt and JudgeColt) and have found them to be quite excellent fellows and wouldn't trade those experiences for the world. If I can find out about the next camping trip/cookout 3 months in advance, I'll take vacation and be sure to make a trip out of it.

The gentleman who was all upset over the parachute joke...I can not remember his handle...He became very upset, insulted everyone and subsequently left, never to be heard from again....I also miss Festus,Ty and JohnnYuma....

Gene B. I don't remember how the joke went for sure, something about a used parachute with red stains for sale. It was funny but sure did cause a lot of....problems with some! Maybe Pelican can post it again if he remembers how it goes.
