What Do You Miss The Most?

I'm sure this thread has appeared at least once or twice before, but what firearm have you parted with that you now miss more than any of the others? For me, it is easy -- I haven't let go of many. It would be a Ruger Mini 30 with a Bushnell Holosight on it.

None, because if I really miss a gun I later buy another one. I made the decision a while ago that as long as I could afford it I would start re-purchasing guns I had owned earlier that I had really liked but had to sell to get money for something else. I used to have a one-gun economy. It's not as tight any more. I'm trying not to buy guns I won't love enough to keep, and not let go of those I now have. If there's any money left over, I might try something new on for size, if you know what I mean.

M1 Garand! It was one of the Centary Arms one but like none I'd ever seen before. My local gunsmith went over it and put in a lot of new parts and put a very nice stock on it. It looked real nice!! Like an idiot, I sold it to my friend. Never again!

&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspOuch! This one hits home. Back about '82 I was living down on the farm, and had lots of time and money for shooting, so I bought a 6" stainless steel Python to keep me company. I did lots of target shooting with it, and it also always accompanied me whenever I went into the bush. Loved that pistol!&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspAnyway, a few years later I moved to Florida, fell on hard times, and had to sell the Python to make rent one month. I didn't have much to do with firearms for about ten years after that, but recent events have greatly rekindled my interest, and I'm now shopping for another wheel gun. And it is something of a painfull experience too, because I haven't seen a SS Python priced under a thousand dollars. Oh well, I guess maybe I'll have to settle for a Trooper this time around (sniff).

A Savage/Fox .410 double barrel with the box and papers!! Wife said I couldn't buy any more guns unless I sold something. I sold it and bought another rifle and have regretted it ever since!! Now I have a gun safe(need another one cause the first one is full) and she doesn't know the combination so she has no idea what's in there!!! She still thinks I only have one handgun!! She thinks I'm still shooting the same old rifles too!! She's not inquisitive enough to ask what all those reloading die boxes are for or what do you need all those different bullets and powders for!! Shot 3 or 4 different ones today that I just love!! But I do carry her horse water and grain!! I'm not going to ask her to clean my guns though!!!! GHD

I traded in a Winchester 94 Black Shadow (.30-30) in brushed chrome towards a Winchester Mod. 70 in .270. I love my .270 but that Win 94 was so pretty.

When my Dad died 42 years ago, Mom said we had to sell all his guns. Ouch, did that hurt! My brother and I talked her into letting us choose any three and keep them for ourselves. The gun dealer was VERY happy to get the other 394 guns of all varieties, and I am still a bit honked off about selling each of them. Especially since the dealer in reality "stole" them all.

My uncle promised me my grandfathers model 70 pre 64 bull barrel 30-06. I didn't get to kalif. to get it and he loaned it to his son in law. He left it in a gun rack in a pickup parked in front of a bar. It lasted about 15 minutes. My grandfather was a Marine D.I., When he passed away my grandmother sold his 1911, another BB model 70, a 38 target revolver of some kind, a 22 rifle, a pistol case with scope and probably 25,000 rounds of ammo to a local LEO for $1200.00. She said she didn't want any one arguing over them. Mid 70's

None. I've only ever sold one of my guns - A Talon .380 POS. Very happy to be rid of it for what I paid for it minus ATF fee.

My dad's .22 LR Winchester bolt. Stolen. I'd give $$$ to get it back.
