There's no such thing as an ugly gun.

Glocks are considered ugly by some, yet most of the police force uses them and they are almost universally idiot proof.

A lot of people consider the Avtomat Kalashnikov series to be ugly. At least 1/2 of the world's armies and militias dont seem to think so.
I think they are stately, as a matter of personal taste.

Is the Desert Eagle ugly? I dont think so.
Is the SKS ugly? Not really.

Are the Lee-Enfield bolt-action models ugly?

Well.....yeah, they kinda are ugly. No way around that one.

Not sure what being idiot proof has to do with UGLY Also not willing to agree that glocks are idiot proof given the number of AD/ND associated with glocks

As for ugly - just look at this cr&p

That's a Russian PPS-43 subgun. It's pretty hideous, but being that they designed it inside Leningrad during the 900-day siege, and built it out of metal scrap parts, I think they did an okay job.

Ugh. If that Sterling submachine gun was a baby, it's momma would have pushed it back in.

Mauser broomhandle pistol. I think this one takes the prize for World's Ugliest Gun.

There are lots of ugly guns out there. But if you need a gun RIGHT NOW the ugliest gun in the world is beautiful if it's in your hand.

That Sterling reminds me of the movie "The Guns of Navarone", one of the best movies I've ever seen.
    Anybody remember that movie?

I already own a Glock and love it for all its ugliness. Today I picked up my Ruger P95D and love it almost as much. Last night I was up in Sioux Falls and was so close to picking up a Mosin Nagant it almost hurt. Damn ugly but such a beautiful thing.

Idsman, do you know if P95 mags and P89 mags are interchangeable?

Hey man, buying a Mosin-Nagant is a very easy choice!

If you like it, you got a great deal. If you dont like it, you still only wasted less than $100.

I got my M44 like new for $80.

She's a fine forestry tool, that one.

That M44 is one heck of a chain saw also! Multi use gun, saw logs for your house and heat, kill game for food and defend your self. You can probably find more uses for it but knocking down trees is it's specialty. All that for $80!

Now you're finally seeing the light, 7mm!

Of course, you could shoot the tree with a .223.

The tree might actually start laughing from the utter stupidity behind using such a feeble round and just laugh until it falls over.

That sounds like a plan to me! Where's my $1,200 Mattel Mouse-Slayer Deluxe?

Bullzeye, we aint gettin into wether or not the .223 is a "feeble" round again. You have already been beat by SEVERAL people on this board with that one. I have absolutely no idea why you are so full of hate over this subject and I for one am getting sick and tired of all the cheap shots you take at anyone who even so much as mentions using a .223. The attitude you display here is childish and immature, you are arrogant and judgmental. People used to stick up for you, I used to stick up for you but now most have turned against you. Why is that? It is because you find fault with most everone who has a view different than yours. You are not open minded, but instead very small minded. You have no ability to accept someone elses opinions or comments without tossing in ridicule and demeaning comments. You have taken a personal attack on my because I disagree with you on a couple things, we have now gotten into a flaming match with each other and no matter how hard I try you instigate it with more negativity. You take my words and twist them to make them sound the way you want so you can try to humiliate me. You came into a thread I posted and began to totally try to rip my words apart, you attemted to take a subject I'm very serious about and discredit me, you made comments on HCT about my son gettin hit by a drunk that has hit me very deeply and angered me to a point even the mention of your name makes my hair stand up. So this is my final word to you, I will quit taking the shots at you, you quit taking the shots at me. Untill I get everyone mad at me I will continue to post here. I enjoy the people here and while I may not always agree with them and they not with me, I find the discussions very informative, educating and fun.

One last thing, If you ever make any more comments about my son like you did on HCT we will meet. What you said there is completly unforgivable, it was said out of ignorance and hate. You said those things only to hurt me and beleive me PAL, you didnt hurt me, you enraged me! So I suggest you take a course on getting along with others and think before you speak because sometime soon you will be away from your mothers protection and you WILL BE IN THE REAL WORLD.

William, that post is a joke. I don't drink like that anymore. Sometime the feeling fo ra beer creeps up and I drink one but it goes no farther than that. I bought a 12 pack of beer for the 2001 New Year and I still have 6 of them left! I aint gonna flame Law, I was just jokin about that but there is no way in he!! that Bull and me are the same person, no way! And no I aint Clouder either, I aint got the vocabulary that man has, I only got a 9th grade education and my grammar/language skills are very minmal compared to his.

Sober up and go to neutral corners!
7mm, we may have have disagreements in the past, but I would never say anything negative about your family. Don't sweat it. It's just some moron in cyberspace. If that drives ya to drink, well, you already wanted to anyway. Hope it works out fer ya. I'm PO'd as hell about something in my life right now, but a coupla hugs from the kids and a beer or two has solved that. Don't need no bottle of Yukon. I'm starting to have serious trouble here understanding who's pretending to be who, or what. Clouder ain't one and I don't feel 7mm has ever hidden.

William, most of the mistakes I made in my life I was drunk and my son when he was 8 gave me the kick in the * to quit, I saw how fast something bad can happen when someone drinks. Unfortunatly my son had to be victim to a drunk driver to sober me up. Like I said, sometimes I get a taste for a cold one but I NEVER leave the house even after drinking just one and that 12 pack has been in there for over a year so I must have the self control to not get drunk anymore. I also realized how much of my families life I missed while I was drunk, sure feels good to be sober.

Timber, I don't think there's too many folks on here I havent gotten into atleast one goood disagreement with at one time or another. I try not to hold grudges and if I feel I need to say something everybody will know I said it. What I say might be wrong and I'll hear about it and correct myself as needed but I will never hide behind another name for the sake of calling somebody what they need to be called.

This post went from ugly guns to ugly talk. 7mm Nut, how did you get that picture of my ex-wife, the Psycho? Simonbs, all the Ruger 9mm P series magazines are interchangable as well as the PC9 carbine. Some of the older JC Higgins shotguns rate pretty ugly in my book but beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.

Pack slow, fall stable, pull high, hit dead center.
