Another Township Safety Inspection

Our trusty township centurions had another road block, I mean seatbelt safety inspection, set up today. Was not able to go around it so I drove up and waited with a large box of ammo on my truck seat (was going to the range)and a box of 30-06's on the dash. The young centurion asked to see my papers (he knows me personally) and proceeded with the where are you going and where are you coming from and never saying a word about the large open box containing marked boxes of ammo in plain view on my seat or the box of ammo on the dash. "Here's my license, registration, and insurance and your other questions will not be answered without my attorney present", I responded. "Everythings in order Mr. Gunpaq and have a nice day", he says after a quick glance at my papers. For my cooperation at the stop I recieved a safe driver pin with a pretty ribbon to wear. With all the million dollar homes being built in our township the local LEOs have to manufacture work. no disrespect intended.

What country do you live in?
The ones that said "your paper's are in order" didn't have SS lighting bolts on their collar and a P-38 in a holster, did they? Sounds like the Gestapo.

Or a LEO running your driver's license for warrants. That's what they usually mean when "everything is in order." Good call though.

These LEOs know me personally as I had sue the township for damages because it's police department not return firearms that they had taken from my home, etc., etc., during a very ugly divorce. They had a reputation for losing firearms in evidence and storage since then most of the old LEOs have moved on, retired, or have gone to jail. This particular LEO during the stop just looked at my cards and handed them back as if that was even necessary - maybe he thought I might have turned into a terrorist operative since the last time we talked at the store two days before.
