Canada plays no favorites with their illegal aliens and they don't take any sob stories.

Maybe the folks at INS/Homeland Security should take a lesson from our neighbors to the north.[;)]

Thats because Canada doesn't have to court the hispanic vote. Hispanics are much more politically active within the US, and thus it is politically unfeasible to take such a hard line approach.

The only reason we are in this mess is because
the illegal hispanic population here has reached
critical mass - just like in France. The only
difference between us and France and us is that
France has made all of their illegal aliens
citizens first. It's pretty obvious what the
    logical outcome here will be.

The Canadians are smarter thn we - they've
already had a bellyfull of thie French speaking
    minority.[8D]

... plus they have a pretty good sense of humor
    when it comes to 'tresspassers!'

With no aliens to shoot, they did not need their guns.

Those Canadians who felt intimidated did give up their guns while the others "lost or could not find theirs", or submitted to licensing.

Funny, that I can own a Norinco M-14 7.62 20rd semi-auto complete with bayonet in Canada but in Amerika that is a banned firearm. [;)]

Funny, that I can import and leaglly own all my firearms including the evil black ones in Canada but I as an Amerikan citizen cannot import a "legal" firearm from Canada into the US.

And so on and so on and so on............................
