Locks on new Smith & Wesson Pistols

I went to the gun shop with my sister on Thursday over lunch and gave her some advise on the quality and function of the guns she was interested in. After looking at the new intregral lock on the Smith and Wesson Handguns it is my opinion if a gun has to have a lock on it this is absolutely the way to go. Locks the trigger and hammer both, where with a trigger lock you can still pull the hammer back enough on some guns to drop it on a chambered round and fire it. Well she ended up buying the Smith and Wesson over a Taurus even though the Taurus was about $100.00 less money. (both s.s.) I will probably catch a lot of flack over this post but I like their system. OTO

P.S. I didn't know that the new Chiefs Specials are Chambered for the .357 round until then, Probably should trade her my old Model 60 for her new one. HA!

You are probably right Otoman, but I think I am glad I have an old Smif and Western!

Better than a trigger lock. Atleast if this locking system is not dectivated in time the firearm still has intimidation power instead of being a useless piece of metal with a jammed trigger lock.

Pack slow, fall stable, pull high, hit dead center.
