All well and good until some arab slips a timed canister of gas into the pilots briefcase. sounds a lot like triggerlocks to me. have some of you tried pouring gasoline on a fire to put it out?

    I recommend they do away with the door between the cockpit and the passenger cabin. The pilots should enter through their own hatch from the outside. That way, there just would be no way for anyone to take control while in the air.

    Nah, problem has been how do they get out in time of trouble, what if they need help from doctor among passengers, etc. Besides, how could cute stewardesses bring them coffee etc? Make the damn thing lockable, but not heavy steel Fort Knox (kevlar-graphite lattice and all that sci-fi jazz). Let's not go crazy here. If you can't let pretty women in, you're going too far.
