I own and carry in my trunk a Norinco Md 98. I choose it because it is made of steel rather than aluminum. I have never had a problem with it. It has a 3" chamber and will fire magnum rounds. I paid $169.00 for it. It is based on the Remington 870.-Charlie

I was at the gunshop a few days ago,and a guy brought back one of those 98s.After a box of shells, the trigger mechenism failed, the trigger wouldn`t come forward..a spring I suppose.Small problem..but a problem!!I`d never trust that gun again!!.218

Don't know about shotguns, know their M14 clones ranged from "fine" to "marshmallow soft steel". Generally seems to be a crapshoot. Haven't heard much good. Also, do you want to support Chicoms?
