Question for truckers.

When I was OTR, Flying J was one of my favorite truckstops. Most were clean and well maintained. Except the one in N.KCMO.
Now I drive local out of Tulsa and fuel at the FJ there daily. And IMO it's getting to be a pit. On any given day, at least one fuel island is out of order. And the resturant is horrible. They don't even put out crackers for te salad/soup bar anymore.
Have all FJ's slipped, or it just bad management in Tulsa?

I used to love the 'em, but now I try to avoid the J like the plague. Like you said, they used to be great. Now it seems most of them are dumps! The one in Beach, ND is still fairly nice as well as the one around Richfield, Utah. But as a rule, they are mostly gone to pot. You hit the nail on the head with the overcrowded and out of order fuel islands. It seems to be the norm.[V][:(!]

Probly bad management. Our FJ here (Rock Hill SC) is very nice (of course it is only about 2 years old). I get my gas there any time I am in that area as I have a frequent fueler card and get a discount off the posted pump price.

I also go eat there a couple times a month and the food is real good.

The J off 44 in Sullivan Mo. seems to be a fairly nice place.

The Flying J on I29 outside Sioux Falls SD is always very busy with trucks it also has the best gizzards ever.

They keep a huge tub of them cooked up and sell them by the pound.
