Was doing some more research on Ellsworth AFB, in South Dakota and low and behold...they are on the list of possible bases to get closed in 2005.

I don't think Ellsworth will survive the next round of base closures...What do y'all South Dakotan's think?

Checked what I have on the 05 BRAC, and Ellsworth AFB is listed on the target list. Hard to say if it will actually be BRACed or be pulled off the list during review.. this is more a political decision than a logical one. Good Luck..

Beale in California is definitely one that should of been closed long ago. To heck with Californy, move the U-2 to Nevada.

I think it is safe with Daschle in the position he is in at least for now.

    It is a B1 base.
