Was watching the learning channel this weekend and checked out a show called junk yard wars. Fols are in a junk yard and have to build things like steamed powered cars from stuff laying around. Really cool show. I have to check it out more.

If you will blame gun makers for every shooting then blame car maker for every car accident.

I've seen this show a few times. They can get pretty ingenious at times.

greetings, yes and their projects have to be completed in 10 hours. part of the show is the expert opinion, some of them should go back to school. a few weeks back they had the two teams build working cannons. it was highly informative. respt submitted dads-freehold

Everything they would ever need is always there. It's another setup tv show to sell diapers.

On the cannon show I thought is was funny that the Brits don't use "5" in the countdown. Sounds to much like "Fire" to them. I guess if they spoke proper American english they would not have that problem, as I do not know of "5" being eliminated in an American countdown.

I agree with rameleni eveything is there. Kind of like a set up. Do you notice the motors they come up with alway work as well. No smoking, pinging, or knocking. Hmmm. It is entertaining.

Well, I have been in junkyards most of my life. Most of what you need IS there! You can't belive the stuff we have got out of our local junkyard! I've seen brand NEW Ford cars, trucks, and vans sent thru the crusher, some with 3 miles on them. Fed Ex brought in a bunch of trucks a few weeks ago, they all ran fine. Once I seen a whole truck load of tool boxes (used) unloaded, and I'm talking the big roll-around type. A well known tool company takes them in on trade, and scraps them. Yesterday, someone brought in a whole truckload of stainless steel dog kennels that were never used, complete with bowls and automatic watering setups. What a waste!
