just never know collectors with deep pockets or a slot to fill

I have colt vest pocket 25 auto I have owned for 40 years
one day while going thru several boxes of junk at a local weekend flea market I found a original box and paper work for it .
I took it and some other items up to the seller how much for the old box his reply how about 1.00
I was content to keep it then seen on ebay how collectors wanted them ,
this one was in some sad shape but all there couple corners torn . started at 1.00 sold for over 250.00 or close if I remember correctly
I was ashamed to ship it because of the condition had lots of photos and text about it in the add , but followed thru and shipped it out ,, the buyer emailed me , he was happy as a clam and how long he had tried to find one thanked me many times over .
    best 1.00 I ever spent [:D]

A friend of mine owns the company that sold that box, Lock-Stock-and-Barrel. I will have to ask him where he got it.

Years ago I saw a S&W old red box from the 20's or 30's sell on that site for $1050.

Haven't tried to sell them yet but years ago bought about a dozen empty boxes of long guns at a flea market, Rem, Win, Charles Daley and a red rider. Paid $2 each. A couple of weeks ago bought 2 Jennings boxes for $.25 each. It did cost me $25 for a Red Rider so it would be complete.
