Great big monster transformer

As you know, I've been scrapping two 1000 KVA UPS's. Well, I just finished up the first main transformer.........1350# of copper + 2950# of steel in steel frame. Holy Sh*t!1 down, 7 to go! Oh, by the way Judge Dread, These unit's were in fine working order. Had to scrap them to get them. Don't that suck!Oh well, I'm going to buy a silver mounted parade saddle set with the cash! It's fun money!What scrap copper?

    Dissasemble them then put them together again !!!!! I told you 1MW units are worth $1M each you can put them apart ,then put your OWN houseto work on solar power ...After reaslemblingthem.. I think the units you have work on 480V DCbattery unit, 10, 48V finger-lift batts.you can power a small town with the stuff ! You can put a cooperative to produce your own power ,you may have a once in a lifetimeoportunity to do something great ,its like having a treasure and trashing it in a swampfrom an airplane at 1,000 feet. You can put windmills to charge the batterysyou may toss the oportunity of a lifetime to the trash and regret it for the rest of your life ,ask the people SCRAPING THEM they can make more MONEY tax writeoff doing a community ALTERNATE POWER proyect ! GET HELP from people in the community ! You can charge the batts using a combinationof solar power ,wind , methane from pig Sh**t run generators ,an oportunity ONCE in a lifetime (don't waste it on crumbs). Free electric power from your OWN communitypower proyect ...Just think of it for a moment ! in case a war breaks out you will have powers wile others not ! you will be able to manufacture, built, produce with NO petroleum usage ,LOOK FOR THE POSSIBILITYS !

    Last time I sold scrap copper it was over a dollar a pound for #1. That's been awhile back though.

    Judge Dread,What can I say, I had to scrap them, that's all there is too it. They watched as I cut them up. I know what they cost, they told me. I know it's a shame but I might as well make whatever I can off them. They said I could sell parts, but not the whole units, and they did not give up the batteries . So what was I to do?
