Wild dogs?

Last weekend me, my dad and two uncles went camping on my Grandpas land thats a least 20 miles from a small city, so its pitch black out there. You can see millions and millions of stars, you can even see the Milky Way, it was a beautiful sight. We took our flash lights out and started to gather wood, which wasnt to hard because my grandpa is clearing the land, so there are huge piles of dead trees. After we made a huge pile of wood my uncle took out a flame thrower and set it ablaze. The fire was huge, it must have been 3 stories high, you couldnt even get close to it with out feeling intense heat on your face. So after a few beers, I told my uncle about the wild dogs my Grandpa saw. He smiled and started to make sounds of a hurt cow. The sounds he made where freaking scary, but I guess it did sound like a hurt cow. After a few minutes of sound making we could hear howls way in distance. Then we could hear them getting closer and closer until it sounded like they where about 75 yards away. We could hear them clearly growing and fighting with each other, and then my stupid * uncle started to make hurt cow noises again, but this time they didnt howl back. My uncle said, do you know why they stopped howling? You scared them away? I said? No! they are sneaking up on us from all sides. He said if they attacked us one would grad each limb and hold you down, when another would rip your * out. After he scared the crap out of me I ran to my sleeping bag and got out my night vision camera. And when I looked into the woods with them I could see glowning eyes around us. I showed my dad and uncle, and my uncle said oh *, i was just trying to scare you with all that stuff I said! I didnt think they would come close to the fire. We all ran to the truck so we could get out of there, but someone didnt close the door all the way which left the cabin light on for hours, which killed the battery. We didnt have any gun, or knifes. So we all went in the back of the truck but nobody could go to sleep, we huddled around the camera and could still see their glowing eyes all around us. We kept watching until the battery went out. There was not light at all since the moon wasnt out, and our fire was far away. We could just barly see the fire glowing in the distance. It was so black we could barely see each others faces. We all laid down together in the back of the truck like scared little girls shivering in the cold. We all just laid there facing the sky just looking at millions and millions of stars, thinking of whats out there and realizing how huge the universe is, it boggles my mind just thinking that the universe goes on forever, and how long space has been here. I mean just think about it, it must have an infinant past and future, I also thought about how did God get here, where did he come from, how long has he been here, and is there life on other planets, and I even thought about the end of the world, like is all the mess thats happening the begining of the end? Everything that I thought about made all of my problems seem so small and stupid, even the problem that we where having now seemed so small. I could even hear my big bad not afraid of wolves or wild dogs by making hurt cow noises uncle crying, I even could hear footsteps really close to use which scared the crap out of me even more, just knowing a pack of animals that could eat you is just a few yards away and you cant defend yourself is enough to make any man cry. We didnt say a word all night. And when morning finally came, and we started our long walk to the nearest gas station which was about 15 miles, I realized that that was the best time of my life, just being with my dad and uncles in that kind of situation made realize how much I love them, and how good it is to be alive.[This message has been edited by Gene B.
