Gene:, I volunteered my services with the NYPD for about 6 days during the first two weeks after the tragedy. It was and is horrible. -Charlie

So you where really at ground zero, I want to go to New York for Christmas to visit my grandpa, and grandma, but I dont know if I can make it this year. I asked grandpa if he could maybe get me some dust or a small rock from the WTC, he said he would if he could, but his driving skills arnt what they used to be.

Gene B. Saw NYC in 1954. Said I'd never go back to the damn place. Never have. Never will.
