Hey guys...could use a little help from ya'll. A good friend of mine that has been a Dallas cop for 26 yrs.(he's 52)had a major heart attack Christmas mornining,doing as well as can be expected. Could use a few prayers on his behalf ya know. He is a good man, and a very fair minded cop. Don't want to loose a friend, nor have the Dallas are loose one of their finest...thanks guys.......richard

    Thanks one and all....seems to be working..going to have an "angioplalsty" (spell check?), so..no chop chop by-pass for now! Thats good news! His name is Don, Turbo. Most mellow, man I have ever known.As i said..great cop..and a good man. Thanks again all and keep em comming! Happy New Year everyone! And keep it safe! For over 2 years I have enjoyed this site, and most of ya'll! I "lurk" alot and hold back on some comments. I know some of you have been around here like myself for quite awhile...and let me say that bar none, no other site on the net has a better group of people, period. What few questions I have asked...I ALWAYS got an answer. Again, there is not a finer group of people to be found, polite, great sense of humor, informed,etc.,etc. Most of the newbies seem to be pretty fine people too. I think part of all the greatness of this site has to do with at least two things, make it three. (1)Our great moderator MR. NUNN, thank you sir for your profession as a PO (just North of me here in Mesquite)and for just being the person you are,thanks. (2)The subject matter of this site...guns,shooting sports..the outdoors. The years have taught me people involved in these activities ARE some of the finest people ANYONE would ever want to be around. (3) As they say "last but not least"....ALL OF YOU MEMBERS, "YOU" ARE the site..the heart and soul of what makes this the best damn site around..PERIOD! Love you all..and the best to all of you thru the comming year.........richard

    Richard, this retired cop had a serious heart attack last Christmas and angoplasty to repair the damage. Please let your friend, Don know that I will also be praying for him. I will pray that his results are as good as mine were, I actually feel better now that I have for years. If he has any questions, please give him my email address and I will be glad to answer him.I also have not yet received your birthday information (month and day) of your birth for the Birthday Club data base. Please forward same to me. We have over 75 members now.

    Don is in my prayers. Since my heart attack 2 years ago, I am especially concerned when I hear of another with that problem.BTW - I also asked God to bless you, rugernut. A friend in deed.

    Hey guys.....thanks. Don had his angi-uh-whatever and is now home doing as the Doc said...pretty much rest and not to get wired up about anything. Prognosis is good. NJ...will get info on the way to you. And thanks Nunn and Dano as fellow LEO'S he feels that special bond too, and it means the world to him, as does his chosen profession. Again I have to say, no better people to be found anywhere, ya'll are the best..thanks again...richard
