Seeing the trailers for this as I surfed the badnews yesterday made me think that, If for the last 40 years the media would have only ran only stories about guns saving lives and killing would be wrong doer's. What would the crime rate be today???

Way down, way down. If they knew that there was a good chance of getting their butts blown away, I think even the dumbest of the Shafunguses would think twice. JMOHA.....

Since Donahue has been back on I've noticed that for all the effort to make him and his show seem current, edgy and "with it," there are some core issues on which a guy of Donahue's age and old-fashioned liberalism still comes off as a reactionary old man. I have very little doubt that this will be one of those interviews that has him shrill and freaking and interrupting like a hysterical woman. If he is able to talk sensibly with LaPierre I will be highly surprised.

If La Pierre said anything sensible, I would be surprised. NRA is a fine enough organization, but I really dislike La Pierre.

"...in the wake of terror" was appended to "Is America Going Gun Crazy" only as a teaser to suggest some cause for Phil to revisit the issue. However, I am sure this airing will soon get back to the predictable tedium of Donahue's previous visitations of the subject. A less pretentious albeit less titilating show title would have been just "Is America Going Gun Crazy?". But then, that wouldn't be timely, and we all know what a NOW kinda guy Phil Donahue is.

Often the mind believes it is thinking, when it is only passing from one metaphor to the next.

According to Rembrandt's unabreviated dictionary..."Donahue, arrogant mental midget who's full of himself, no match for truth, justice, and the American way, often right at home with those of his own kind"

Phil couldn't make it. Marlo wouldn't let him have his gonads back for the evening. She keeps them in a little drawer by her nightstand. I hear that, if he behaves himself, she lets him have them to play with for a short time about twice a year.
