Lets start the meatin' with a Toast! (With respect to Beekeep, no honey please). Here's to the double 7s ! may we always remember the missing page!

Sir Travelor, perhaps we should take the Bentley for drive to the local automobile dealer. Have been pondering what gentlemen of our a position would drive in the line of SUV's. Must be rugged and able to outrun charging game....of course room to carry all our necessities such as extra changes of jackets, cigars, and cognac. Do you prefer right or left side steering? LandRover?, Humvee? or something on the order of the "Pope-mobile"?

I was thinking Humvee at the mention of dealersip, so when you included it in your list of suggestions? I just knew that it would be the only way to travel. I think that if we do any Afgahni safari trips, then we might want Something suited for the terrain! Of coarse we shall spare no ammenities...refrigerator, night vision navigationals, .50 cal mountings (for us short guys, that can't manage to shoulder one)Leather seats, and extra dust covers & hangers for our jackets...

Pardon me, would you have any Grey Poupon?

Personally, I would tend to opt for the Land Rover, as it is more in line with the auspicious nature of our membership, whilst admitting that a Humvee is more practical. Further, I believe a plethora of ring mounts are already available. The deciding criteria, indubidably, would be which could be had with a factory wet bar and humidor.
I may disagree with what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.--Voltaire~Secret Select Society Of Suave Stylish Smoking Jackets~

Perhaps we should take a vote on our new "SUV"....Lord Beekeeper must not know about this. (He's from Florida you know....and we all remember how they count ballots and vote) Maybe he has some relatives in Chicago...I've heard the deceased vote quite often in certain areas. Any suggestions for a color? It will definetly have a "Javelin" mounted in the back for...."road obstructions" and slow drivers. With so many members wanting to go we will need a qualified driver....CDL? or Chauffers license anyone?

Sir Rembrandt:Must I remind you that the voting problem here is with the elderly Northerner, the one who wears the yellow shorts, black socks just below the knee, and says such things as "Whedija-pokda-cah".Now I will be forced to drop the 'Sir and/or Lord' from your 'de plume',if the following requests are not satisfied:1.Openly state that you finally understand.2.Tell everyone that mentions Florida voters to you, that the problem is the yankee infestation problem in florida.3.Pronounce it Flarda.4.or just say 'uncle'LordBee[This message has been edited by 218Beekeep (edited 11-15-2001).][This message has been edited by 218Beekeep (edited 11-15-2001).]

You're trying to tell me that when you cast "4" ballots for the best "3" gun caliber selection....that was a bunch of elderly Northerners who asked you to park their car?......Lord Beekeeper, are we fibbin' just a wee bit here? Remember, you're dealing with a Yankee here....and we won the last war, don't want to have to come down there and start another one. (hee..hee)

I'm no a member, and I may be wrong on this, but didn't Lamborghini make a 4x4 back in the early 80's that could go some crazy speed like 218 MPH? If so, that's what y'all need for your batmobile.

Well then!!!I can see that we are back to plain ol` Rem.,And you are only adding fuel to the fire with comments about that dreadfull war.By the way,if another civil war started..we have a hell of a lot of your citizens as hostages..the ones who can`t vote..oh,keep them you say?Can we come to an agreement...I will compromise the one about 'uncle'.Are you willing to meet me half way?~Bee~

Welcome to the Smoking Jacket Club, Sir Lord Hyperspace....I like your choice of transportation...what color do you suggest? I was always partial to "Goldfinger's" gold plated Rolls Royce.....would that be too gaudy for gentlemen of our status?

Thanks for the welcome and title. :-) I got the smoking jacket, and pounds of poetry I'll submit later for your approval.I'm trying to find some specifics on the Lambo I referenced for y'all. All I remember is that it was limited production, fast as hell, and expensive as sin. Myself, I would go with a Stainless Steel exterior and a leather and laminated wood interior. It just seems right.Travelor, nope, no CDL. [This message has been edited by hyperspace (edited 11-15-2001).]

I must add this one comment...Lets not let the failures of history cloud our insight to the future...we are all one nation, under God. With liberty and justice for all. I have a statement to make, and would be honored if all True Americans would heed these words....As an American, born free, each of us should bear the rights of freedom...to be able to freely do what ever we choose to do; no matter what, as long as we don't hurt any other person while doing that thing. WE were born free, as a gift granted to us each by the valiant efforts of those who fought and died to preserve those rights for us. Celebrate! and be willing to stand up to preserve those rights for our children!

Bee.. You know, I like to find humor in all I survey...But this just isn't funny...I'm scared man...truly terrified by my own government...Paranoid? maybe....I actualy hope so....the acts of terrorism against us don't frighten me at all....sh*t happens. But to think that we are watching our freedom get shuffeled into a gunnysack, and dropped with a millstone into the abiss... that is truly terrorism...

Hey ya'll,I think I have got one of those S.U.V.s you were talking about. It's a 1973 Ford Country Squire wagon with the original 460 c.i. engine.Got a bashed in left front fender from a kamakazi deer up in KY last month. If that is not a Sh*t Ugly Vehicle,I don't know what is!Gets me to work and back every time though.I must tell you that when they had 100% searches to get onto Ft.Rucker,it took awhile for the M.P.s to finish with mine.Very amusing,I must say!

Rodgerglide, maybe you have struck on something here...Let me see, maybe we could use the humvee as a path clearing decoy, and let the club dignitaries hop in your super charger. The jackboots would spend hours trying to pull the wool out of their eyes!

Well I have a jacket that smokes on ocasion and all, but for hyper they was a reall idea and though i'm not sure on the speed it had a v12 in it and I do know Mike Tyson had one they were well over 100k. The hummvee looks some what like them in the tall stance/ground clearance. As far as the suv thing: hummers great for turning heads, rover great for wheeling and going to the opera, but it has no room for gear!! I personaly drive a 4x4 Ford Excursion with a turbo diesel, now it is not the most agile thing on the road but it wheels good for it's size and you could put the rover in the cargo area and tow the hummer. Ps: Bigger is Better

yep, I was wrong on the speed -- it was 210 KM/hour, so about 130 MPH. Still pretty fast for a 4x4 SUV.

Bee..I learned a lesson over the years about engines for both cars and motorcycles, that there is no substitute for cubic inches! And besides,I can work on my old car,and don't have to take it to a dealer to hook it to a computer to fix it.What are those catylitic converters I hear about?

Is every one out deer hunting, or what? I missed the big one...I think...I scared up a loud snortin' hum dinger this morning at about 6:15 A.M. Only problem is that it was so foggy, that I never saw it, just heard the ruckus...Sounded pretty big though, the way it snorted and crashed through the brush. I heard him goin' for quite some time...
