I posted last week about this guy who I sent $1500 for stuff I never got. Well I had a friend down over the weekend from Philly and I used his cell phone to call the dude to see if he would answer a call that is not from VA. He did. Once he found out it was me he hung up. What a coward. I talked to the PA state troopers and explained what was going on and they said they will go over and see him this weekend and I asked could I drive up to Philly to go with them. I explained that if he has my money I would not want to send him arrested on all types of charges the trooper had listed. It is now about more then money. It is about respect that this guy has none of and honor. The Troopers have been a real help. I thought that they where only good for writing tickets.

I hope that he does have the money. From what I knew of him he was pretty loaded. If he has the money I do not know why he did not just send it back and save us both alot of problems.

Here I go again with this. (hehehe.....)

ONCE AGAIN: THE POST OFFICE DOES NOT CARE IF SOMEONE RIPS YOU OFF VIA THE MAIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If it is over $2,000, *maybe* they will get involved...usually not.

Your best bet is the local police department.

NO! You may not have my guns! Now go crawl back into your hole!

No need to make the trip. I got 13 boxes of equipment today. I got stuff I did not buy. He also sent a letter saying sorry, he could not get his hands on all the equipment in a timely manner. I guess everything works out fine.

Casey, in a word (OK, two!) _**BS**_

I've been on both sides of this situation when there was a problem. If the guy were honest & honorable (a) he would have kept you completely informed of whatever problems he was having, his plan for dealing with those, etc., and (b) he would not have remedied the situation immediately after the visit from the PA SP, much less shipped extras stuff in a tacit bribe to keep you from causing him more grief.

I don't recall if this was an auction transaction, but if so, super negative feedback, without name-calling & hysterics, "just the facts, m'am," is an absolute requirement to warn others. As would be a note to the admin of the site involved. This guy is clearly dishonest.

I agree -- he only sent the stuff to avoid problems. If you hadn't gone to the trouble of going after him, you'd never have gotten it, otherwise he wouldn't have LIED to you and told you he thought he already sent it.

From now on, if you ever are tempted to do business with your "friend" again, tell him you'll take things in advance, try them out for a couple days, then send the money. That way you will always have the item before you pay. I'd never send money to this guy up front again. If he ever balks at sending you the equipment first, tell him no deal. He'll know why.
