Santa Cruz, California-AP -- Two people who helped write California's medical marijuana law have been arrested.
Federal agents raided Valerie and Michael Corral's marijuana farm near Santa Cruz. They're charged with intent to distribute marijuana and conspiracy.
The Corrals work with local authorities to dispense their pot to people with doctors' recommendations to use it.
Federal authorities didn't notify the Santa Cruz County sheriff's department of the raid. The sheriff's office knows about the farm and complies with state rather than federal drug laws.
