bin Laden's Assault Pistol a Krinkov?

Interesting trivia: One of the cable news channel "experts" reported tonight that on the new Bin Laden tape just previewed on TV tonight, the weapon leaning next to him (same one as before, the way it looks) has the "wrong" magazine in it. Trouble is, with the crawl and the station's logo at the bottom of the screen, the image is cut off above the mag, and so far I haven't been able to see what he's talking about. All you can see is the distinctive suppressor on an AK-type stock & short barrel. Those of you who watch the distributors' ads have seen parts kits for a "Krinkov", which looks to be an assault pistol of the AK variety, close in size to the .223 pistols like the OA-93. The Krinkov has a flash suppressor similar in look to the one on Bin Laden's gun, but this suppressor will apparently also fit the threaded muzzle of an AK. I'm trying to figure out what that gun is and whether it REALLY has the wrong magazine in it. I have a feeling the expert is wrong. As best as I have been able to figure out, the Krinkov assault pistol was available in both a 5.45 and a 7.62 caliber and takes stick magazines, perhaps even AK magazines. Anyway, Krinkov parts kits are starting to show up for sale, and gunbroker has someone trying to sell a Krinkov in 7.62x39 with a 75-round drum mag welded to the receiver. So far, no takers, though the auction has run several times. Don't we all need a pistol-sized AK with a 75 round drumload of 7.62?
