M1A rifle maintenance

Just got back from the range with the M1A and while cleaning it I noticed that the cartridge clip guide appears to have just a little bit of play in it. I wouldn't say it's loose, I can't really move it but I can wiggle it a little. Is this normal? I can't tell if it's held in place by an allen head screw or a rivet.Thanks!G36

Just looked at mine and it looks like neither. Looks like if might be a drift (I think thats the word I'm looking for. If not someone should come along shortly with the proper term). No movement in mine but I've only had 40rds through it so far.
