Have you shot your Browning Hornet yet? I've been thinking about a Hornet and was wondering how you liked yours.

quote:This reminds me of the 2-stroke and 4-stroke outboard argument. Who's winning that one now? Here's a hint, it ain't the 4-stroke. Change is not always good

I am kinda surprised. From my experiences the 4 stroke outboards are pretty sweet and being embraced by the boating community. They are getting lighter and competing in price with the 2 strokes.

I know when I take the 16 ft with a 40 horse two stroke out I can play for about an hour on 6 gallons. When I take the 18ft with the 80 horse four stroke out I can play for 6 hours on 6 gallons.

I remember a while back about us speaking about a ruger mini - 14 at a good price. Is this still available?

It shoots great! Haven't killed anything but powder and primers but I sure do like it. I only wish it had a real purpose, I don't see using it to hunt anything but rabbits. Guess I should get rid of those Remington 597 22 rimfires in mag and lr.

It's starting to get pretty suburban in these parts. Populated enough so the woodchucks won't let you in .22mag range anymore. If I go with anything hotter than a Hornet, Bee, or 25/20 I'm sure the sherrifs deputies will be on my case. I'm thinking about a Low Wall. It gets worse when the seasons are open on game animals, then I'm stuck with a rimfire. I envy your desert locale but not its gun laws, not that things are a whole lot better here.
