We all know Saxon's weakness for shiny guns. This is mine, I wish I had the money to spare. I'm tempted to empty half the safe to get the money. This is a gun to be owned by someone with a smoking jacket.

That is one nice rifle!! Original case! How often do you find something like that!!

    Wonder what the reserve is???

Of course I can play the piano, as long as it has pedals!

I went to his website the gun is listed there for $1,500.00 if I remember correctly. If I raided my house restoration account I could probably swing half the difference between his opening bid and that ammount. But then the house repairs would fall behind for another year. I'm feeling pretty weak over this one. I haven't bought a gun since january. I'm going through some serious withdrawl here!!

But if I did buy the gun, and already have a smoking jacket. I still wouldn't have an invitation to join the club and Lord BeeKeeper isn't here to nominate me.

    What calibre is a #5?

    Yankee
    # 5 refers to the case
The 360 #5 Rook loading is about the same as the 38 Long Colt

Some guys like a mag full of lead, I still prefer one round to the head.

If it's a good deal and a great piece buy it now and watch your investment grow. Don't wait till the auction over and keep kicking yourself because you passed it up.
I know nothing about this "smoking jacket club" you want to join so good luck getting in to it.

    Woodsrunner,

What part of Rochester you from? I have a camp just east of Wolcott.
