Tie me to the chair before I spend more money

It was a very expensive morning.

It started out as a nice quiet trip to the gunshop. Sold one of my handguns to someone here on GB. Being a NY resident it has to go through a dealer to get it unregistered from my pistol permit. While there I inquired about the Colt Officers Model 38 I keep hearing about. Well, I put a deposit on it. To make matters worse one of my buddies was there and asked what I was gonna do for a 22 handgun. I informed him I'd like to find a prewar Colt Woodsman. The dealer starts rumaging through his safe pulling out pistol rugs. Before I know it I have a dozen 22 auto's in front of me, most of them Woodsman Match Target's. He just bought the estate of a 22 target pistol fancier. He's holding a nice prewar example for me until I get him the balance on the OM. Looks like Colts are going to outnumber S&W's in my safe for a while. It was a very expensive morning!!!

There are *worse* ways to spend money, especially in NY!

Saxon, I spent it on something real nice!! The OM has history. It comes with an old canvas military flap holster, a photo of it's origional pilot owner with it on his hip. Army air corps photo looks like European theater with a P-51 in the background. Finish wise I'd say it's 85%. But, it's real tight with no endshake and timing is still perfect. I may take Judge Colts advice and do a letter on it.

The Woodsman is as nice as the K-22 I'm selling you. As soon as I picked it up it was mine. I've never had any handgun fit my hand like the Woodsman. Really that's the only reason I sold the mod 17, it just never felt right in my hand. That goes for almost every K frame I've ever held. There has only been one of them I ever shot well, my buddies 1905 fourth change target 38. Unfortunately that's not for sale and his brother gets first shot at it when it does get sold.

Let me know when the model 17 arrives. It should go out priority mail on wed so look for it friday or saturday.
