RUGERNINE is absolutely right except for number 10. Everyone here in Texas knows it was Kennedy who finished his speech after being shot...I know, I was there!!!

JFK finished a speech after being shot?????!!!!!!!!!!

Probably not. He wasn't making a speech at the time, and after a big chunk of his head was blown off, he probably made no intelligible sounds. God rest him.

    5. Regan
    6. Washington
    7. Teddy Rosevelt
    8. FDR

    11. Clinton

Lookin forward to the answers ... that number 1 is driving me up a wall!

    Larry

Actually Washington did not have wooden teeth according to the History Channel. The story has been repeated so much everyone believes it though.

The following comments are from different site on the web. You can find them if you search.

George Washington eventually lost all of his teeth except for one. Many people believe that he had dentures made out of wood. This is a myth. George Washington's teeth were made from filed down elephant ivory, hippopotamus tusks, and cow teeth. These dentures had lots of sharp screws, hooks, and springs. Because of this, he had difficulty smiling.

The museum at Fraunces Tavern Museum in New York City includes specimens of Washington's false teeth.

George Washington was plagued thoughout his adult life with bad teeth, losing about 1 tooth a year from the age of 24. In his later years he consulted a number of dentists and had a number of sets of false teeth, (but none of wood). For a more or less definitive chronicle of his struggles see George Washington's Teeth.

George Washington's teeth were actually: carved from animal tusks, some of them were also somebody else's teeth, and some of them were from animals like deer and cales.

First of all #10 wasn't president when he gave that speech. He was an ex president campainging as a third party candidate because his party turned in a direction he didn't like. The speech was in Milwaukee,WI.

"Friends. I shall ask you to be as quiet as posible. I don't know whether you fully understandthat I have just been shot; but it takes more than that to kill a bull moose. But fortunately I had my manuscript, so you see I was going to make a long speech, and there is a bullet- there is where the bullet went through-and it probably saved me from it going into my heart. The bullet is in me now, so that I cannot make a very long speech, but I will try my best."

Thus his third party became known as "The Bull Moose Party".

And if he were alive today, he could whoop both GWB's and Kerry's butts in a landslide without even trying.
