It Must Be A Sickness

It must be a sickness. I just bought another gun yesterday, the second one this month. This morning the 2002 Ruger catalog came in the mail and I am now working out a budget to get that new Gold Label SxS. Mrs. Gunpaq says it is a sickness: "notenoughgunsidos". Does anybody else have this illness? Are you unable to miss a gun show, unable to drive past a gun shop, or unable to pass on a great deal for that gun you wanted but really did not plan on buying it for a while?

I believe one other member has started a "12-step" group for this affliction. Admitting you have a problem is the first step...Personally, I admit that I suffer from "magnumitus", and believe that a power greater than myself can bring me happiness, such as a .45 caliber, 300 grain, 1500 FPS+ load.

I'm not sure, but I think I'm recovering from "notenoughgunsidos", but hope to have a relapse soon. I've been thinning out the safe and getting rid of most anything I haven't shot in 2+ years (there are a couple exceptions) and some things I have 2 of ... and so far I really haven't come across anything I need to run out and buy ... I'm starting to worry that there is NOTHING wrong with me ...

I have that nearly uncontrolable addiction also, but when I started a topic nearly identical to this 1 admin or Mr Nunn poofed it. Why? I guess because I mentioned that I bought it from another auction site, but didn't mention that other auction sites name or address. I completely understand the addiction, heck I deal with it daily. I do feel better thou because I listed on a piece of paper the winchester models that I had and I listed the models that I wanted and the wanted list is longer than the have list, so I feel normal again as normal as a addict to gun buying can feel. Do you guys get a fix from buying a new gun and playing with that new gun also?

Hey, I have it too! Bought 4 (yep, FOUR) new long guns last month and 1 pistol. Way too many for the wife's taste! But one shotgun was her valentines gift! LOL! But it is a healthy addiction. I used to chew tobacco. Two cans a day of Kodiak. Cost me about $40 a week! I quit that 2 months ago to help finance the gottahavethatgunittis disease. So, heck, it IS a healthy hobby!

I suffered from said illness, but I got over it. I can quit anytime I want, but who wants to.

No "Sickness" to it! Someone said it was something called "Denial." That's Crap! Everyone knows a new gun twice a week will stop all the "Whips and Jiggles" anyone gets from going without!

It is not a sickness it is an addition. You can shake the habit and quit. I know, I've done it hundreds of times.

i suffer from "notenuffmoneyidous". I think its definetely the worse disease out there.only cure available has a 1 in a few million chance of being able to cure. Results differ depending on where you live, but its very sad.
