Thats what it is about ...attitudes,don't matter if we are talking about our constitution or religion or life in general. It all comes back to attitudes.I had at one point decided to leave the forum as I did not appreciate the attitudes of a few here.As i sat and thought more on it,I realized that attitudes are why the country is where it is at today.Think about it,as any of us talk in general it is most generally I,or me...I,me,me I ,When do we hear WE? it should be we,the Constitution starts WE the people, not I or me.We all want or rights as they appeal or not to us.Its the attitude that has seen the country grow down, when there was religion,I am thinking folks stuck together more because of it,as this slowly recedes it appears that the individual places itself alone, not "in with the pack" community or whatever. Thus the "divided"house that will fall....or pull itself together and prevail. We talk of being together as gun folks..but are we really?.....I don't think so.Just my thoughts......for whatever they are worth.....

I know what you mean, I was about ready to give it up because of ONE so and so, I still hate him. I just don't read any thing he has to say, theirs to many GOOD people here that I enjoy. So why let one JERK run me off.

Sadly we live in the ME times and in the male dominated shooting spots there is a lot of D--- wagging! Believe it has something to do with other inadequacies. We have become such a self centered culture that we no longer take the time to listen past our own lips. Believe we are seeing the repercussions of that now with the liberal mindset in Washington. We have gone from pride in ourselves to "what can I get from you if I sream the loudest". Our country is the greatest, but we have an element bent on bringing it down to the LOWESTdenominator. My 2 cents. Jim

    LH-

I just got done reading your "E" to me, and I think we have the same views, just with a slightly different twist.

I apologize for any inconvienance or unwarranted anger I may have caused you in the heat of the moment, but I guess that's the way it goes when emotions are dispersed on the ole' flat screen.

    Thanks again-
    Matt

"It is thus necessary that the individual should come to realize that his own ego is of no importance in comparison with the existence of his nation; that the position of the individual ego is conditioned solely by the interests of the nation as a whole ... that above all the unity of a nation's spirit and will are worth far more than the freedom of the spirit and will of an individual ... This state of mind, which subordinates the interests of the ego to the conservation of the community, is really the first premise for every truly human culture ... we understand only the individual's capacity to make sacrifices for the community, for his fellow man." -- Adolph Hitler (1933)

FS>>>>>FS....sigh,why do I do this to myself/[;)]I don't remember that one where was it?And he is/was right,I agree...then again where would we be as a country if those huge sacrifices were not made by our own?I do see how he uused it to his advantage, and how our own can/will....seems in keeping with the "dumbing down" of our country. So where should the line be drawn.Yes we must be individuals, absolutly, however there are times as in the cave-man times when we would/will have to unite to stand against a common threat....Hmmmmm,Know I'mm making myself think...No,YOU started it!

Well lets face it....Thinking can bring on all kinds of things...like depression....anxiety,etc. Easier to let someone does the thinking....and so then the gov't does, and we know where that goes......

If you look at history you find that all of the most powerful countries/cultures run a course. None has been the most powerful, or richest for a very long period of time. Perhaps China, Egypt, Greece, but all are now third world nations. Whether we like it or not, whether god is on our side or not, the same will happen to the US. The only question is, how long it will take.
