I was inside Turret One on the Iowa when we fired 57 rounds over a period of about 3 months. I was kinda disappointed when the first round was fired because I was expecting an earth shattering explosion, instead it was kind of semi violent push. Those guns are amazing. The accuracy is unbelievable. Iowa fired 6 rounds at 27 miles, 4 of the 6 were scored as direct hits.
