I did some research, and not only do you have to have a secure storage place for your firearms, but most states do not allow a FFL to be issued to a residential address, only to a business address. I myself live in Virginia, and was told by State Police that in order for me to receive a FFL, I had to have a business address, a secure building, a secure storage area, BATF approval, and inspections to be done by BATF or Virginia State Police, not just once, but frequently. The information you may buy for 19.95 can help you do this alot easier, But I have the forms here, and its not that difficult to fill out. The only problem is aquiring "business property" to do this on, so my advice, make sure state laws allow you to conduct business at your place of residence, make sure your local city or county allows a firearms dealer to be licensed at his/her residence. After months of researching the VA State Code, and Federal Codes I have not found anything granting permission to be licensed to a residence, so again, check first! and last but not least, if anyone knows something that I dont about how to do this "at home" please tell me! email : sykotikmtrsports@aol.com
