This is the real Birth of a Nation. If you have the capability to download off of Youtube, you should. I was shocked to find it on there today. It hasn't been on long and probably won't be much longer.

    the War of Northern Aggression veterans, both sides, watched it and had no problem with it accurately portraying the time.

    I have heard that over the years the film has been edited several times and no one knows if a original copy still exists. I have two copies on DVD that was put out by two different companies. I will re watch them both to see if they are the same.

    I would expect the longest to be the most original.
    Let me know the company and stock number. I'll look for a copy.

    I believe he was the first president to have screened it while serving in the WHITE house!
