Something called SlimCleaner suddenly started doing a scan while I was listing guns on the auction side and even though I immediately aborted it my computer started messing up right then and got progressively worse till in the next few minutes I lost all control. My I T guy says he will have to pick it up this afternoon.

You need to have go to its last restore point if you can gain control. Maybe start it up in safe mode to regain control.

My old computer with windows 7 finally died,, I started using this one with windows 10 and it sucks. I have never used a system with so many advertisements and backdoors built in. It is ripe for virus and spam. I am just about ready to scratch it and load another operating system

I had a case of Slimdrivers once that took me a couple of hours to remove.

Even going to restore points won't get it out.

Unless you're computer savvy and know what you're doing, you're better off to pay someone to do it.
