I was at the local grocery store this weekend which has a small restaurant inside of it. They have a great breakfast special for $2.18 on the weekends. My favorite place in the world for breakfast is a truck stop/diner in NY called Longways. Good greasy breakfast food for a great price. They have killer home fries and biscuits and gravy.Where do you like to go for good cheap breakfast food besides your own kitchen?

29 Palms has Andrea's. Good greasy food, damn good prices. A house omelet is my favorite, even if it will kill you. That sucker is slap full of cheese, bacon, and sausage plus it comes with taters of choice. Gotta go, gettin' hungry!
If you can't fix it with a hammer, take it to a mechanic. will270win@aol.com ~Secret Select Society Of Suave Stylish Smoking Jackets~

A little Greek "Coney Island" diner in Riverview, Michigan called Zorba's. You can get the Hungry Man breakfast for under $5 and it comes with 4 eggs, 2 pieces of toast, 2 sausage, a big chunk of ham, two pieces of bacon and home fries. If you are still hungry after this one you need to eat more than once a week!Perfect breakfast for early morning before going fishing all day!

I must say, Jerm you know I'm probably a bit biased towards Longways, I did meet my better judgment there. Are you familiar with a little hole in the wall called Ricks Old Time Cafe? Used to be on the corner of 40th and Grand in Mpls. I think Rick retired and sold the joint (some mexican resturaunt?). Small little one room place, open from 4:00am to 3:00 pm. You wouldn't believe the lines this place generated after a night of drinking!! Best bisquits&gravy this side of anywhere(aside from mom's of course) and real hash browns, none of that home fry crap!

IOW--Hey man, I LOVE home fries--better than has browns. No, I've never been to that place before. I've never been out for a "night on the town" while in Minneapolis. When I go home, I go home to spend time with family. As a matter of fact, I've never done anything in Minnesota that requires ID. I think I had one or two beers in high school though. There was a better place near my parents' house. You'd drive right past it and not know it was a restaurant. All you can eat pancakes, eggs, toast, bacon and sausage for $5.99. By the way, since we're on the subject of Minneapolis, where is the best place in Mpls to get used 2nd Edition AD&D stuff?

I'll be damned if I can't remember the name, but I know that it's on Lake St. between Grand and Lyndale, it's on the south side of the street right next to a model/hobby store(the hobby store is on the corner with lots of model trains on display). You'll know it when you walk in. Lots of figurines and when I say this place has EVERYTHING, I mean it! They even used to use the basement to play sometimes, anybody from the ocasional player to the D&D nut. COOL place

damn guys, that brings back memories, I havn't played D&D for 14yrs. I used to love playing though. We have those mom and pop stores strewn throughout the country roads around here with the ham/egg/cheese or scrapple or bacon or both or all three, for like $1.75. mmmmmmm......I can feel the constriction right now.
