Got a new dog

I went to the pound and I found a dog I liked and he had 2 days left. He was just laying there not barking I stuck my hand in there to pet him and he licked me.

I told the lady I will take him. We walked to the little outdoor are and he peed for about a minuet and then pooped more than I ever thought possible.

He is house broken and just about the perfect dog. He is about 1 year old. His parents moved and dropped him off. He will not get in the car on his own but loves to drive. He already has a name and that is Bear.

He is a German Shepherd mix and looks like a St. Bernard. His head and body is huge.

When I looked in his eyes all I saw was no hope and I recognized the look and I knew he was for me.

He is the perfect dog although he was in the bathroom when I got dressed and when he saw me pick up a belt he ran out of the bathroom. I think he has been hit a few times when he was a puppy.[V]

we got a 4 1/2 yr old maltese. Our neighbor's daughter has been a nanny for a family over in switzerland and this past weekend she came home to get married..The family doesnt want the dog anymore, since the nanny is gone the mom cant handle two kids and a dog..(these people have more money then u know what)

Ms Lillie came to us with a european travel bag(my handbags dont even cost this much) she is totally housebroken goes to the back door and barks when she has to go out,she knows all her commands she has been spayed and not to mention she has more frequent flyer miles then i will ever see.

The owners told us if she doesnt work out to let them know and they will fly her back home and find her home back there..That isnt going to happen she is fitting in just fine here..

....the other day, Momma's papered at 99.8% timberwolf, dad's a road running German Shepard that got lucky. My pup's 7 weeks old, black and grey with silver tips on her coat. She was the runt of the litter, they always seem to turn out the best, and most often, the biggest.Acts awful "packy", always rubbing and licking on you, always has to lay against me.Got her for the low, low price of " Ralph, come get that dog you was wantin- they're eating me out of house and home!"just thought I'd share my little bit of happiness with y'all-Ralph

Congradulations on your new baby Reb. There's nothing like a good dawg to keep a guy company.

Why didn't you guys tell me that a dog is good to keep you company before I married Mrs NJRETCOP.She has many of the same habits though, eat's me outa house and home and just lays around the rest of the time. O, and yeah, you're right about being the biggest of the litter. Congratulations on your new companion.-Charlie

Congrats on the new puppy. I have two dogs and would prob. have more if the wife didn't have a say. My female lays on me also, neat how much devotion they have isn't it?
