The FIPK for my truck is about $260 at places I have checked. Do they get any cheaper?

i used the filters and Mobile 1 triple synthetic 5w-30 in the suburban. Better mileage and power. By the way, GM now recomends the synthetics and will NOT void the warranty. They only advise you to break in the bearings with regular oil first then switch over.

I put a K&N FIPK on my Jeep Cherokee and I am very happy with it. Probably gave me close to 20 horsepower. I bought mine over the net from Truck Performance.com. I checked prices like a man possessed and these guys were by far the cheapest I found. About $239.00 if I remember correctly.I've used K&N products on my bikes and vehicles for years. The K&N oil filters are top notch also.

FIPK = Fuel Injection Performance KitThe K&N kit replaces the restrictive factory air box and intake tube with a larger diameter, straight-run intake tube and a large conical or cylindrical K&N filter. The kit for my Jeep also included a two-sided steel bulkhead which isolated the intake from the engine heat. Draws the cooler air coming through the grill right into the engine. They provide a substantial horsepower boost for any fuel injected vehicle.

Hey Nunn: Don't stop there. With a few other bolt-on upgrades you can really make the ol' rig run well.I installed a Borla high performance exhaust system on my Jeep, along with the K&N FIPK, a Helix throttle body spacer, a Jet Performance engine control module and MSD ignition. My 4.0 liter Jeep in-line six has gone from the stock 190 horsepower to around 225 hp, all with bolt-on stuff and a total investment of less than a thousand bucks. My gas mileage, assuming I keep my foot out of it, has also increased 2 or 3 mpg.EEEEEEEEHAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWW

I depended on my son to clean & oil the ones I installed. Result: The one on my truck got so dirty it split open & was letting unfiltered air in. If you get one clean it regularly & don't depend on son.
