Remington 1100 vs 1187

Looking for some first hand experience with the differences in these guns. I know the 1187 shoots 2 3/4 and 3 inch shells, any advantages one over the other in 20 guage??

I don't know about the 1100 but my sp 11-87 will digest 3 1/2 inch shells also. Should give a little more range on the honkers.

the 1187 has stainless? or some other material magazine tube where the 1100 does not. This is what keeps the action going with less cleaning than the 1100. There are others also but I am unsure. Also, higher grade wood.
