We`ve had threads about the 788 Remington...threads about the 340 Savage.I own several of each, and have respect for both of these inexpensively built bolt action rifles. But now I have bought myself a $150.Winchester Model-670-in 30-06.It is in very good condition, and I bet I`m gunna like it..I`ve already placed a 6-Power Burris on it,and can`t hardly wait to see what she`s got.Anybody got one?.218

My first centerfire bolt action rifle was exactly that. Winchester 670 30-06Kept it for about 5 years and it always got my deer. Not fancy, but it did the job well. Also,it was as accurate,or more so than some of the fancier rifles i have since owned. P.S. My rifle had a 30 cal. hole in the end of the barrel. If yours does also,it must be my old rifle.I think you should give it back to me.[This message has been edited by old single shots (edited 04-05-2002).]

I bought one off the auction in January. This little rifle shoots. Nothing to get 3 shot under 1 inch. Not the prettiest but a shooter.KC

I have the .300 Win. I will never part with it. The accercry is unmatched with anything I've ever seen. I just bought a new in the box .06 and would like to find the .243. I shot an Antilope 6.5 tenths of a mile with the .300 and I have plenty of wittness.

YANKEE CLIPPER-1144 YDS BY MY CALCULATIONS. That's darn fine shooting my friend. What might the .243 in approx 90-95% be worth?JustinCollis@pobox.com
