Four years ago this morning I rolled out of bed, lit a cigarette looked and saw one more left in the pack and said to myself, "I wonder how long I can keep this without smoking it". I still have it and that one I lit was the last one I ever smoked.

Happy independance day to all

Going cold turkey like that is awesome. It must have taken a lot of massages from that big busted RN with long blonde hair you have as your private nurse!

I quit smoking three packs of KOOLS a day for thirty years.
I quit Oct 4th 11:42 am 1999....Still smoke free, but think about it once in a while.

When I first quit I would have dreams at night about smoking. These dreams were so real I'd wake up and tear the bed apart looking for the butt. I knew then I could never start again. Actually I think the dream cigarettes were more pleasurable than real ones ever were. I was a 2-3 pack a day Marlboro smoker at the time I quit. At one point I was smoking 3 cartons a week. I don't miss the habit at all.

I never thought I could Quit.
That's why I looked at my watch when I put out my last Cigarette, to see how long I could go before breaking down and lighting up.
I never did light up again.

Way to go,.... woodsrunner, rugerniner, and will270win.

It's been almost 9 years for me, but I weaned myself off slowly by smoking less and less, then only when I drank, then I switched to tiparrillos (ever inhale one of those?) and then eventually walked away from it all. Still think about it sometimes, I don't think that will go away.

A great rifle with a junk scope,....is junk.
