Question for NASCAR fans

Has anyone ever been to Martinsville, VA to see a NASCAR race? I need some info on where the best seats are, I was thinking of going to the October race tis year...

    I went to race at martinsville about 15 years ago.It a 1/2 mile track and best I remember all seats had a good view of the race.The one thing I do remember,there was continues noise because there were always cars in front of you because of 40 cars on a 1/2 mile track.The smell of high octane gas was bad also.I am not trying to talk you out of going just giving you some things to be prepared for when you go.It is a good race and a lot of beating and banging of cars because it is hard to pass.Just my 2 cents.

    Pigeoncreek, Try to get tickets in the M,N.O, sections on the front stretch. I think it's the GM tower. You can see the whole track and if you're 30 rows up or more they are great seats! Don't park on the Speedway property if you need to get out fairly quickly! Come in off of 58 business and pay 10.00 to someone to park! GHD

    Try to sit back from the fence, the closer you get to the fence the more you are pelted with rubber and debris...

    I love the smell of racing fuel. Jimmy Johnson did his donut at Dover right in front of the wife and I back in June. She used to say, how can you watch that stuff, and then,...........she went to a race with me. By the end of the week, she knew half of the drivers and their cars.

    DITTO on the higher up seats, they have the better view. But there is something about getting rubber on your face
