Well after much deliberation I finally decided to keep the Government carbine and shoot it.Something one of you all said kept running through my mind,I think it was LTS who said he had a customer who likes NIB Colts because He "Will be the first one to shoot it and enjoy it" so will I.The question I have though is what about mags? Can anyone tell me the best quality mags as far as reliability goes? Also could you give me an idea of how much the best mags cost? Thanks again for all the help,Josey

American Riflemen has an add in it every month for a company called RGUNS. they sell Mil spec mags with the green follower, still wrapped in plastic for $25.

A great rifle with a junk scope,....is junk.
