You are so from Pensacola if...
    - know that a Blue Angel is a pilot, not a heavenly being choking on a chicken bone.

~ know that the best collard greens on earth can be found at Hopkins

~ recognize only two seasons: hunting and fishing.

~ don't even give a screaming roadside preacher a head turn.

    ~ knew Trader Jon.

~ accept that you are the only people in the country that toss mullet, much less eat them.

    ~ support Frank Patti unconditionally.

~ know which bathroom to go into at McGuire's Irish Pub.

~ pour your margarita out on the boardwalk to avoid Pensacola Christian College students.

~ know that when traveling on I-110 and you get static over the radio, the "Hot Doughnuts Now" light is on at Krispy Kreme.

~ know these street names in order and know they are actually the same road:
Saufley Field Road, Michigan Avenue, Beverly Parkway, Brent Lane, Bayou Boulevard, and Perry
Avenue, and don't forget Mobile Highway, Cervantes Street, Scenic Highway, Highway 90. Added
bonus if you can explain it to a visitor or tourist!

    ~ eat fried mullet.

~ know J's bakery is the only bakery in town.

~ cried when you learned that J's bakery was closing and you celebrated upon its reopening.

~ can't stay away from the fried bacon, eggs, grits and black coffee at the Coffee Cup.

~ know Jerry's Drive-In is actually a walk-in, and they have the best cheeseburgers, fried gizzards, shrimp salad, fried mullet, and cold beer in town.

~ judge all Nassau grits by those at the Coffee Cup.

~ get hamburgers to go from the Blue Dot.

    ~ kissed the moose.

~ know the Oyster Bar is closed on Tuesdays.

~ start most of your directions by saying "turn left at Jerry's Drive-In".

~ must drive on at least three roads undergoing construction wherever you go.

~ call a drive across Davis Highway a road trip.

~ still call a certain intersection "The Circle".

~ still call the corner of Garden and Alcaniz "The Sheridan".

~ believe everyone should pull over for funeral processions.

    - know that when arriving in Gulf Breeze from Pensacola Bay Bridge you immediately do the posted 35-mph speed limit and honor that speed limit through Gulf Breeze proper.

~ have gotten a speeding ticket in Gulf Breeze.

~ go to the beach over the Navarre bridge, instead of the Gulf Breeze bridge to save 50 cents in tolls.

~ know what "Drink or Drown Night" is. It's the night you have the best chance to get a DUI.

~ know that Fairfield Drive is really Pottery Plant Road.

~ prefer county commission or school board meetings to WWF Smackdown because there's more action.

~ subscribe to the News Journal only to keep up with the latest on the Escambia County School Board.

~ explain to visitors that it is not the harbor they smell but the Main Street sewage treatment plant.

    ~ know Connor Cagle.

~ would never drive to the beach to the Blue Angels show, preferring to go by boat instead.

~ arrange your social calendar around Blue Angels weekend.

~ think the four seasons are "almost summer, summer, still summer and Christmas."

~ know Roy Jones has a chicken house.

~ call Scenic Highway "The Bluffs".

~ moved back to Pensacola more than three times.

~ seen every early '90s rapper perform at Big Daddy's.

~ have been asked to join every world religion while enjoying an evening in Seville Square.

~ attend summer concerts in the park.

~ know the correct Pronunciation of Texar Drive and Reus Street.

~ still call Perdido Beach "Old Gulf Beach".

~ remember the "Old Hotel" on "Old Gulf Beach".

now what is the story of your home town

Son if you didn't learn something today, you wasted the whole day. (Jasper N. Lee, my granddaddy)

My home town,, Was the best place you ever want to grow up. I liked it enough to buy my own place and raise my family here. In the last ten years it has become more or less an extension of philadelphia. People turning homes into apartments renting them out to whoever[:(!] Used to be able to walk out and go hunt the fields, now there are new homes everywhere[:(]crime is up, welfare bums discovered the train from philly stops right here and they are moving in like the plauge. On the bright side my house has tripled in value since I bought it 20 years ago. But it wont be long till the bums around here start driving the prices down[V]. Ready to make a move to find a new home town.

    My home town, Mounds, Oklahoma:
.had a sign saying it was a short cut to Oklahoma City, it wasn't.
.has only one paved road thru it, rest are dirt
.is so small that the whole town can get on a Trailways bus
.had a grocery store, 8 folks couldn't support it, closed
.didn't have a post office until just a few years ago
.didn't have a bank until just a few years ago
    .just go indoor plumbing
.there ain't much going on, but everybody knows it
    [:D]

It must be right, or we wouldn't do it this way!

I would have read this sooner but I have been stuck at the light for over an hour, Olive and Davis Hwy. Due to 2000 people trying to get in to the Olive Rd Baptist Church
