Lewis, who invented more than 45 firearm models for Browning, Colt & Dan Wesson - and his own - with dozens of patents.Mr. Lewis invnented many models of firearms and other items, including the Colt Mark III, their 40mm grenade launcher used in Vietnam, and helped design the oxygen pack that the Apollo astronauts wore when they went to the moon.
