Would like to know how you feel about these large sellers that clutter up the auction site with their inflated starting bids. Are there really people out there willing to pay more than retail.. These sellers are ruining the auction sites.

Do you suppose that if someone who was more technically astute than I signed them up for every perverted porn site on the planet and then promised to get mean if that didn't work, it would get their attention? Do they have reserves? How about bidding real cheaply with some nasty comments added? I agree, these ppl are the auction site equivalent of spammers and used car salesmen.

Another example is a shop from Arizona that had about 15 pages of holsters listed by model individualy for each pistol make. Dutch auction it by model with a list of pistols that it will fit at the bottom. It is so annoying that even if he had what I was looking for I would never buy from that company.

Amen!!!!Also I had a deleted post last week about things being in the wrong category. As far as I'm concerned, I should NEVER find a stun gun listed as a black powder replica!! Let alone have to go through ten of them in a row.

The ones that REALLY irritate me are the"reserve" items that start at one cent. How ridiculous can you get. Why won't sellers simply get off the "reserve" crap-ola and put the lowest price they'll accept as the starting bid? Maybe you guys that sell stuff have a rationalization for doing the one cent thing or any reserve at all. Why not just be up front about what you want? Guess I'm not bright enough to figure it out.Mudge the confused....no irritated...no befuddled....whatever

If you list an itam say for $400 you have to pay ebay 10% or 14% or some percent im not sure exactly what percent, of the starting price, But if they list it at 1 cent thay dont have to pay any fee.[This message has been edited by Gene B. (edited 11-19-2001).]
